Ear candling is a form of therapy in which one end of a hollow candle is lit while the other end is placed in a person’s ear. The earwax and other dead skin deposited inside the canal are drawn out by a partial vacuum created by the candle flame. Some scientists have criticized this method saying that there is no data to suggest it is effective.
