How Tighten Loose Skin on Face: Laser, Remedies or?

Loose skin on the face is a sign of aging. As one grows older, the skin loses its elasticity and it can no longer self-moisturize. This makes it look saggy and loose. Elastin and collagen keep the skin firm and give it natural elasticity. The elastin fibers help it bounce back after you change facial expressions or stretch. Collagen helps form the skin structure and these two keep the skin flexible, smooth and elastic. As the body ages, less of the two is produced and normal stretching and contracting from facial expressions become permanent, leading to sagging, wrinkles and fine lines.

Extrinsic aging also weakens facial muscles resulting in the sagged skin. This kind of aging is brought on by sources outside the body including sun damage, smoking, and toxic exposure.

Loss of volume is also another cause and it refers to the thinning of the skins fatty layer and the stretching of structures supporting facial muscles. These underlying facial structures undergo changes due to rapid weight loss, aging or both.

When it can no longer bounce back or repair itself, it starts sagging more and more. This can permanently stretch it out of shape and reveal oversized and stretched pores. During this time in life, the use of creams will not help especially if they cause clogged pores.

Tighten loose face skin – laser, Juvederm or facelift

There are many ways to go about this including:

Juvederm

This is a cosmetic treatment used to restore and improve aging signs. Juvederm is an injectable dermal filler containing hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is produced naturally by the skin. The treatment focuses on the face (the cheeks, around the mouth and the lips). The results will be visible immediately and can last from one to two years. The treatment restores elasticity and increases its volume by replacing hyaluronic acid missing in the body. This form of sagging face skin treatment contours the nose, jaw, and chin restore volume to the lips and cheeks and diminishes hollows and wrinkles found under the eyes.

Laser skin tightening

This is a non-surgical process which is minimally invasive. The procedure uses an infrared light source to heat up collagen under the skin and tighten it. When the collagen is heated, the skin contracts and hence tightens. The procedure is popular because the results are visible immediately. For optimal results, treatment must be done two or three more times with some months apart. Laser tightening results in reduced wrinkle appearance, a firmer skin, and a youthful appearance.

Facelift

Clinically known as rhytidectomy, the facelift is a procedure that reduces the wrinkly appearance on the face and any other aging signs. It helps improve the facial appearance by reversing harmful effects of stress, time and element exposure to the face. The procedure involves lifting and tightening underlying facial muscles to create aesthetically pleasing contours that rejuvenate the face structure.
